Liesbeth is greatly interested in musical productions where different forms from the art world come together. Her programme The Night Dances, which she also performed as her master’s recital, is a combination of music, poetry, dance and visual art.
She likes to cooperate with musicians from other musical worlds, such as jazz-vocalist Agnes Loonstra, guitarist Frank Wolff and the Iranian Tombak player Pasha Karami.
With theatre group Fien she creates children’s and youth theatre productions that tickle the creativity and stimulate thinking about philosophical themes.
In the cooperation with other artists Liesbeth searches for the common ground between different arts. She uses a broad palette of musical means, from early and classical music to contemporary, composed and improvised music.
Liesbeth’s performances shed new light on familiar concepts, and aspire to loosen familiar rules to breathe new life into art.
